I’ve been a foodie way before I even knew that there was a term for it.
Cooking is a creative process for me, a sensual experience that comforts as well as pleases. Like most cooks, I like to foist my creations on other people. Thankfully, most folks who sample my cooking live to tell about it.
Eating, of course, is the pleasure principle. I have learned to appreciate new tastes and textures — masala and silky tofu, cold soba noodles, fried ice cream. I aim to discover more as I go along.
Spoon in hand, I plan to stir and sample as many tastes as I can. Join me or get outta my way.
